Brugge, Belgium

I'm finally getting the rest of our photos up from Jodi's visit! Well, not all of them- between Jodi and I we took close to 800 photos so I don't think you want to see them all :).

On Wednesday we drove to Brugge, Belgium which is a little over 4 hours from us. The Lane's had stayed in a nice Bed and Breakfast the week earlier in Brugge so we decided to go with their recommendation and stay there. It was run by a really sweet lady and was real close to downtown Brugge. We really enjoyed our stay there and Michael did really well again on this trip!

Here is the Belfry Tower at night. Jodi and I climbed up to the top (all 366 steps) on the second day and had a beautiful view! Although we might be partially deaf from all the bells chiming but it was worth it :)


We ate dinner at a little cafe where as you can see Michael fell asleep.



Here we are a little chocolate maker in Brugge... we spent a lot of our money there, haha.



We spent about half of Thursday in Brugge and headed back home. It was such a fun trip and one of our favorite cities so far! Thanks for the suggestion, Lanes!

Then, we unfortunately had to take Jodi to the airport on Friday. We had such a great time traveling around with her and can't wait for her to come visit again :)

Oh, and also if you could keep Jodi in your thoughts and prayers. While she was here her hot water heater exploded and caught her garage on fire. The smoke damaged most of her home and since she works out of her house (in home daycare) she has added stress. They have to stay in a rental home for the next couple months until everything is cleaned for them. Not what you want to hear about while you are on vacation but she didn't let it ruin her trip :)
