so, great news on Michaels leg! When we met with the orthopedic surgeon today he told us he didn't think Michael needed a cast after all! So he just needs to wear the splint they gave us at the ER for about 3 weeks and then do a follow up appt with him. They also were able to cut the splint down some so that Michael will be able to move his leg better! So this was great news! Yesterday, he learned how to crawl around with the splint that goes all the way up to his thigh. And today he was still crawling with his leg stiff out to the side even though they had cut it to below his knee :) So this new splint might take a day or 2 of adjusting but it will be so much better than a cast!
On a side note...
My friend Tricia and I decided a few days ago to take a road trip on Wednesday to Prague in the Czech Republic. We will be there from Wednesday to Saturday! We are both really excited about this trip. It may be a little challenging with 2 one year old babies but we can handle it! Her husband is also deployed so we figured we could either sit around and complain or go somewhere fun... so were headed to Prague!
